American Advertising Federation (AAF)

This organization is affiliated with the Academic Division of the AMERICAN ADVERTISING FEDERATION and the 6th District of the AAF. The purposes of this AAF college chapter shall be: (1) to provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of advertising and of its values; (2) to stimulate and encourage advertising professionalism through advertising education; (3) to apply the skill, creativity and energy of advertising to help solve social problems; (4) develop the individual abilities of its members; and (5) promote fellowship and free exchange of ideas.
Art Education Society

The Art Education Society is a club for all Art Education majors at USF. The purpose of the club is to: Provide an effective transition from art education preparation to professional practice.

  • Maintain a high standard of quality art education on campus and in the community.
  • Gain greater insight and perspective about the teaching of art and contemporary concepts in art education.
  • Sponsor service projects such as speaker, symposia, exhibitions, etc.
  • Promote an exchange of ideas in substantive art education.
  • Promote art education and all areas of the visual arts as a career choice.

Together, the club participates in the Annual Indiana Art Education State Meeting and FAME Festival activities, and works with the Reggio Emilia Program at Whitney Young School in Fort Wayne. The club is currently applying for membership as a student chapter of the National Art Education Association.

Gaming Guild

The Gaming Guild welcomes all to join in this epic adventure of dragons, space quests, and short stocky plumbers. Our main focus will be to educate students in what goes into creating a videogame. We will also be hosting game nights and tournaments to bond and get to know one another better. We will encourage members to suggest other games, and/or topics that will benefit our main goal, which is to learn about videogames, and to have fun.

RHA is the major programming and legislative organization for the residence halls. RHA provides a representative voice for students living in the residence halls at USF. Executive Board consists of a president, vice president, secretary and treasurer. The board will have representation from each Residence Hall Council. Members must be residential students who have a sincere desire to improve and contribute to residential life on campus.

Special Interest Graphics and Animation Club (SIGGRAPH)

The USF SIGGRAPH chapter is dedicated to the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive techniques. ACM SIGGRAPH is an international organization. The group holds regular meetings, works on chapter projects and presents student film showings for the university and the community. Each year the chapter sends representatives to the national conference.
Student Art League

Student Art League is especially beneficial for USF art students with a concentration in Fine and Fine/Commercial Art. However, all USF art students are welcome to participate. The goals of the Student Art League are to further educate students outside the classroom by providing opportunities to visit artists and galleries, inviting guest speakers, helping students develop their portfolios and exhibition records to prepare for graduate school, and giving additional opportunities for critiques. The club also provides a social environment for art students that allows them to share experiences to help organize and unify as a group.

The University Singers can be taken as a credit course that can be taken for audit or no credit. The Singers perform a wide range of choral literature for university activities and special concerts. They also perform a fall and spring concert.
